Mid-century Ettore Sottsass designed Bitossi of Italy Beaker and Saucer set. A range belonging to a limited edition of “lava glaze” ceramic objects commissioned by the prominent Dutch department store “De Bijenkorf” and manufactured by Bitossi (Montelupo) circa 1958. Signed in orange text to the saucer “made in Italy” along with a black though obscured “De Bijenkorf” mark. The saucer measuring 105mm and the beaker measuring 65mm tall.
