Important mid-century West German three part pottery wall plaque. Brutalist abstract raised mushroom form in browns, frothy creams and dark olive. The three plaques held together by a timber backboard that has wall hangers attached. Can also be displayed horizontally on a period Credenza etc. Very heavy. Any maker’s marks are obscured by the timber backboard though this is obviously a quality early example of West German pottery. Purchased in Berlin. Possibly and early Schäffenacker example.
