Early freeform ikebana type vessel by Berkshire based potter Barbara Dowling. Featuring a heavily textured piece with various decorative piercings along with a chimney like upper aperture and conical pedestal foot. Still retaining a studio label beneath along with Barbara’s incised initials. A strong piece stylistically looking striking on display. 260mm in length by 190mm wide by 185mm tall. 1.65kgs. Excellent vintage order. Circa 1970’s. Barbara Dowling has been potting since 1976 selling pieces from her reading based cottage. The final image shows pieces in her kiln being fired.
