Mid-century Italian “op art” cylindrical pottery vase. A tall example featuring a horizontal dragged matte brush effect to the lower and upper thirds in a fawn tone. Split by a highly glazed centre of yellow, blue, black and white with repeating geometric design. Signed on the base “hand painted Italy”. The interior is finished in an ivory white with ribbed detailing. Good proportions measuring 290mm tall by 136mm in diameter. 1.45kgs. Good vintage order with some glaze anomalies as is associated studio pieces. Circa 1960’s Italy.
