Hayward’s Auction House is holding another of our popular Antique & Collectable Auctions this coming Sunday the 7th of July with a great variety of quality items on offer. Unusual finds include a large hand-cranked Victorian knife polisher, antique mangle, surveyor’s theodolite on wooden tripod legs, detailed model sailing ships, a taxidermy harrier, retro marionettes, and a striking vintage cast aluminium electric kettle with Maori motif handle and feet.

Of note in the china cabinet – a Crown Lynn Downtown Dunedin side plate and saucer, Portmeirion Magic City and Totem items, a vintage Chinese blue and white bowl, and a great selection of Royal Stanley Jacobean ware pieces and Beswick Beatrix Potter figurines. You’ll also find quality teaware, trios, and Royal Doulton, Crown Lynn, Noritake, Meakin and Denby dinnerware sets.

Furniture includes secretary and roll-top desks, a partner’s desk, antique and retro mirror-back dressers, leather armchairs and 2- and 3-seater settees, a Bergere lounge suite, Morris chairs, inlaid games and dining tables, china and display cabinets, wardrobes, and a massive slab dining table. We also have a large selection of wooden storage chests and travel trunks.

In our retro corner we have prints and mirrors, ceramic and figural lamp bases, a Telefunken stereo, mod red hanging light fittings, a lip chair, a mid-century mirror backed dresser, sideboard, wardrobe, and wooden armchairs.

Other collectibles include an 1887 Maundy coin set, smoker’s pipes, spirit miniatures, die-cast Fun Ho! Matchbox, Target and other model cars, trucks and tractors. Valve radios, pond yachts, glass plate negatives, Whites Aviation, George Chance and other photographs, oil paintings and watercolours. You will also find floor mats, Tiffany style and other table lamps, wall mirrors, sterling silver and plated ware, jewellery, crystal, lodge regalia, books and postcards, and many other quality vintage and collectable items well worth a look. 

Viewing for this auction will be on Wednesday 9-5, Thursday 9-5, Friday 9-5, and Saturday 9-3 with the auction starting at 10:00am on Sunday. Photographs of all items can be found below.
