Hayward’s Auction House is pleased to announce that viewing is now open for our upcoming Antique and Collectable auction, to be held this Sunday the 1st of December starting at 10:00 AM.
In addition to our usual range of fine antique, vintage, retro and collectable items, this auction features a tempting opportunity for bottle and crock collectors with a wide variety of glass and stoneware bottles, crocks, storage vessels,marble bottles, ginger beer, beer and apothecary bottles including some great Dunedin and Southland breweries and chemists items.
Furniture includes a quality English-made Ercol display cabinet and small cabinet, oak wardrobes, an antique Dutch cupboard, a church pew, a Louis Ghost chair and several very nice lounge suites along with table lamps, dining tables and chairs, end tables, tea trolleys and more.
You will find a vintage icebox-refrigerator, a large doll’s house, an Enfield long-case clock, a vintage wooden bath, a vintage grocer’s bike, enamel metal advertising signs, and stylish garden ornaments including statues, lion figures, and heavy iron gates.
Collectors of vintage technology will be interesting in the assortment of Morse keys on offer, and other small collectables include ceramic toilet pulls, vesta boxes, vintage model vehicles, toothpaste and apothecary pots, and a fine set of brass balance scales. The jewellery cabinets hold a nice range of quality replica watches alongside the silver chains, bracelets, rings, pendants, brooches, military badges and ephemera.
We have our usual wide selection of fine china, crystal and glassware, including a collection of Beatrix Potter and other Beswick figurines, a pair of Royal Albert Senorita trios, Clarice Cliff teapot, jug and sugar, decanters, dinner and tea-ware, and as-new boxed Swarovski crystal items.
The walls feature original artworks, prints, photographs, advertising signs and a majestic stag’s head - the floors are covered with a variety of carpets and floor runners.
