We’ve got a bit of everything in this week’s estate and household goods auctions, and why not start with a pair of large and comfortable red leather armchairs with matching ottomans? Put your feet up and grab a good book – you can find a lot of those in box lots scattered about the place, including 3  boxes of Agatha Christie and other mysteries, but there’s nice choice for the literary and history buffs as well.

Other leather and fabric covered settees and chairs await, including some nice retro and vintage items. If you are in a retro mood, there’s a double-sided kitchen bench with sliding doors on both sides, and boxes of wallpaper in assorted startling colours and patterns. Pot plants and seedlings include kaka beak, hellebore, lavender, broadleaf, and pineapple lilies.

There are upright freezers, top load washers, mirror back dressers, mattresses, bed ends, bookshelves, dining tables and chairs. Transistor and mantel radios, a Denon turntable, DVDs, LPs, tapes, magazines and more.

There are large pieces of leather suitable for craft items, belts, or saddles, and you’ll see a nice range of studio pottery, tableware, fine china and glass this week – Temuka, Denby, Hutschenreuther, Mikasa, Clarice Cliff Newport, Crown Lynn, Johnson Brothers, all the usual suspects. Check the walls for framed artworks, prints and wall mirrors, and check the floor for rugs.

You’ll notice a very large Ironpower weight-lifting stand with assorted bars and weights to go with it, and a lot of other fantastic stuff that we don’t have room to mention, so please come in to 5 Carroll Street and have a good fossick around, and check it out online where we have photos and descriptions for every item. It’s easy to register and you can keep track of the items you’re interested in with your watch list.

Because of the long weekend we will not be open for viewing on Monday. Viewing for this auction will be on Saturday 9:00am – 12:00pm, Tuesday 9:00am – 5:00pm with the first lots closing at 6:00pm on Tuesday.

As always thank you to all our customers for their continued support.
