Music Auction

Sunday 25th August 2019

Auction starts at 1:00pm

It is a Music Auction this Sunday afternoon at Hayward’s Auction House and the gods of rock have been kind.

The feature item in the auction is the illuminated Sammy’s sign from Dunedin’s iconic venue. While the sign is a little worse for wear it is going under the hammer and looking for a new home. We also have a large number of promotional posters from band’s that played in its heyday, including local acts like the Chills and Straitjacket Fits and international bands including the Violent Femmes.

There’s a great variety of acoustic and electric guitars and basses, guitar and bass amps – notable electrics include an ESP LTD Deluxe, a Cort Larry Coryell edition, vintage Hofner and Maton hollow-body electrics, several nice Ibanez, Diplomat, and Epiphone solid-bodies and a made-in-USA Fender Telecaster in need of a little TLC.

You’ll find bass and guitar amps from Gallien-Kreuger, Peavey, Vox, Laney and others along with Boss and Line6 effects.

We also have classical and dreadnought acoustics from Yamaha, Ibanez, Ovation and others, a Martin backpacker, a Yamaha 12-string, and some lovely vintage mandolins. Accordions, brass instruments, an Omnichord and a retro Farfisa Pianorgan, and a black Pearl drum kit to round out the band.

Studio and recording equipment including microphones and mic stands, Behringer and Mackie mixers, Tascam cassette multi-track decks, USB and MIDI controller keyboards, cables and heaphones. For inspiration, check the many boxes of 45s and crates of LP records.

Hifi components – amplifiers and receivers, turntables, and speakers from NAD, Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, KEF, Infinity, Wharfedale and others. Portable audio, compact systems, PA speakers.

We’ve got the instruments, the amplifiers, drum kits and everything else all we need know is the musicians

Don’t miss this Sunday’s Music Auction at Hayward’s Auction House.

As always we would like to thank all our customers for their continued support.
