Tool Auction

Saturday 16th November 2019

Auction starts at 10:00am

It’s a Tool Auction this Saturday at Hayward’s Auction House 16th starting at 10:00am, the auction includes a great variety of workshop, garden and recreational gear. For those of you in the trade or if you want to take your workshop to the next level we have commercial equipment including a Yuh Farn cut off saw with heavy roller guides, a  L’Invicible sliding bench top saw, two large dust extractors, and to help move it all around, a hand-operated hydraulic pallet lifter.

Scroll down this page to see photos and descriptions of all the items.

Just in time for summer the auction includes a 2017 Frewza aluminium dinghy on a trailer with a 15 Horsepower Mercury Motor and a smaller Johnson auxiliary outboard motor. There are 2 aluminium dinghies, an inflatable boat,  fishing tackle, poles, and nets, duck and goose decoys, wetsuits and so on. For when it’s time to set up camp, we’ve got tents, camp stoves and lanterns, gas bottles, a Swanni or two, and a classic Romesse potbelly stove for those chilly nights at the bach.

If you’ve got plans for the garden, you’ll find a lot of very useful equipment this week - chainsaws, hedge trimmers, spades, hoes, grubbers and mattocks, forks, rakes, backpack sprayers, and a nice line-up of lawnmowers to choose from. Our tool auctions are also a great place to find – wait for it – tools! Hand tools, saws, hammers, screwdrivers, as-new socket sets, vintage hand planes, chisels, vises, metal-working and carpentry gear of all descriptions. The power tools include nail guns, cordless drills, routers, bench grinders, etc.

As usual, there are also lots of hardware and fixings to sift through, with nails, screws, fasteners, door hardware, work lighting, sandpaper, rope and wire, sealant and paint, and many other handy consumables for the workshop and around home. To keep it all tidy, we’ve got aluminum and MDF workshop shelving, storage chests, sets of drawers, tool chests, and filing cabinets.

Other odds and ends include a nice set of 4 as-new Goodyear tyres, some retired New Zealand Fire Service helmets, a meat slicer, bicycles, and the makings of a 1973 Triumph TR5 motorbike project with frame, block, tank, wheels and at least some of the parts you need to make it go. As-new unassembled patio tables, chrome and wood café tables, large round folding banquet tables – I could go on, but why not just have a look at our online catalogue for photos and descriptions, and if you’re in town, pop in for a good look around.

We will be for viewing the Tool Auction on Wednesday 9:00am – 5:30pm, Thursday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm with the auction starting at 10:00am on Saturday.

It is a fantastic auction and well worth your inspection. As always thank you to all our customers for their continued support.
