It is a Vintage, Antique & Collectable Auction this Sunday at Hayward’s Auction House and as usual it is filled with a wide variety of unusual and interesting items. We have a number of interesting collections in the auction.
We have a large collection of Jim Beam decanters including Hone Heke and Te Raupahara musical decanters. We have a collection of vintage Dunedin and New Zealand bottles and we also have a number of antique local and New Zealand maps including a fold-out map of Otago, with WJM Larnach stamped on gold on the cover.
One of the more unusual local history items is the large dredge bucket from a Central Otago gold dredge. While it’s gold digging days are over, it would make a very interesting garden ornament.
There is a wooden ship’s wheel and 2 vintage wooden wheelbarrows, which are surprisingly well balanced and easy to move around.
We also have two very nice Edwardian oak and glass shop display cases, one is tall, upright and illuminated and the other is one long and horizontal.
Other items including brown leather armchairs & settee and a red leather armchair. Floor rugs, standard lamps, Victorian cast iron garden bench seat, stoneware crocks.
Die-cast 1:18 model Ferraris, large home-made wooden model truck & trailer units, sterling silver tea set, Matchbox and Fun Ho! toys.
Cut-throat razors, pipes, stereoscopic viewer and cards, copperware, Camphorwood chest, vintage clothes, table lamps, numerous trios, tea sets and dinner sets including; Royal Doulton, Denby, and Wedgwood.
There is a Mandolin, Piano accordion, and a Collard & Collard upright piano.
Canteens of cutlery, crystal, hall stands, wardrobes, scotch chest, sideboards, fireside chairs, bookcases, original art & prints and many other unusual and interesting items too numerous to mention.
As always thank you to all our valued customers for their continued support.
The Team at Haywards.
