This Vintage, Antique & Collectable Auction is a Timed Online Auction, starting Thursday 4th February at 6:00pm and ending Tuesday 9th February with the first lots closing at 6:00pm. While this auction is conducted online, you can still view all the items at our auction rooms at 5 Carroll Street, Dunedin.
Hayward’s Auction House is happy to announce our first Vintage, Antique and Collectable specialty auction for the new year.
This auction features a great selection of antique, vintage, retro and more modern collectables, fine china and ornaments, art glass and pottery, framed prints, photographs, paintings, photos and wall mirrors, furniture, toys, books and more.
Collectors of fine china are in for a treat with a wide assortment of high quality Asian and European bone china plates, cups & saucers, coffee and tea ware, bowls, and figurines – from 18th century Chinese export ware cup to a Royal Doulton Maori Art trio. You will also find Grimwades Maori ware mother and child pieces, art nouveau figurines, and a wide range of Belleek green and black mark items including an unusual shell jug. Art glass treasures include a Galle cameo glass vase and a variety of fetching multi-coloured base vases and plates.
Poole, Masons, Booths Real Old Willow dinnerware, plated cutlery, Noritake and Limoges, Imari pattern cups, saucers and plates, Beswick, Royal Worcester and Royal Doulton figurines, Temuka pottery.
There’s a nice assortment of local history books, WW2 books, rubber map stamps, NZR blueprint reproductions, a Steky spy camera, a stereoscope, New Zealand stereo view cards, gramophones, vintage travel trunks, woollen floor rugs, vintage tin toy fire trucks, antique scales and weights, floor mats, retro light fittings, mantle clocks and vintage fishing reels & flies.
Retro furniture includes a beautiful Airest New Zealand made mid-century dining suite.
There are a number of davenport and a rimu church pew.
Other furniture includes mirror-back dressers, leadlight china cabinets, and other solid timber bedroom furniture, lounge suites, dining table and chairs, sideboards and chiffoniers.
