Superb Carn pottery of Cornwall pentagonal studio vase. A truly impressive piece of work from the hand of John Beusmans with a decoration resembling an aliens head with large eyes. Finished in various Carn signature copper oxide glazes with modernist fish and a tulip to the rear in raised slip. Fully signed by Beusmans himself beneath along with a model code “t4” and the usual Carn back stamp. A huge vase standing 370mm tall by approximately 120mm across at the widest point. 1.725kgs. Excellent vintage order. Circa early 1970’s.
