Period John Beusmans vase from his Cornish based carn studio in Nancledra, near St Ives. An extremely large example presenting in cylindrical form in Beusmans signature copper oxide tones. One face displays with raised slip decoration showing six “eyes” each filled with a differing abstract design in lovely steel blue tones including what looks like a setting sun and honey comb. The rear shows a repeating abstract leaf design filled with random slip. Hand signed by Beusmans beneath along with a model code “41” and a Carn pottery back stamp. Extremely rare in this size and format. 410mm tall by 80mm in diameter. Excellent vintage. Circa early 1970’s.
